This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid products and subscriptions sold through ExtensionChro.me ("we", "us", or "our").

Paid purchases on our website are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited and/or its affiliates ("Paddle"). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for these transactions. That means Paddle is the seller of record for billing, taxes, invoices, and payment-related refunds, while we supply the digital product (such as a Chrome extension license, plan, or premium feature).

Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. Where local law or Paddle’s Buyer Terms provide stronger rights, those rights apply.

1. Who handles payments and refunds

  • Payments, invoices, sales tax/VAT, and payment refunds are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record
  • Product access, licenses, and technical support for our extensions are handled by ExtensionChro.me

2. Scope

This policy covers paid digital products sold via ExtensionChro.me checkout powered by Paddle, including one-time purchases and subscriptions (if offered).

It does not cover free trials, free extensions, or Chrome Web Store installs that do not involve a Paddle payment.

3. Our refund commitment

Unless a stronger local consumer right applies:

  • You may request a refund within 14 days of the purchase (Transaction) date
  • We will review refund requests in good faith and, where appropriate, work with Paddle to process an approved refund
  • Submission of a request within 14 days does not automatically guarantee a refund in every case (for example where fraud, abuse, or ineligibility under applicable rules is found)
  • If a refund is approved, access to the related paid product or license may be revoked

Where required by law (for example certain EU/UK consumer withdrawal rights for digital content), eligible consumers may receive a full refund subject to the conditions of those laws and any lawful waiver of withdrawal rights you accepted at checkout when immediate access to digital content began.

4. When refunds may be declined

A refund may be declined (except where mandatory law requires otherwise) if, for example:

  • The request is made after the applicable refund or withdrawal period
  • There is evidence of fraud, chargeback abuse, or manipulative behaviour
  • The product was already substantially used, downloaded, streamed, or consumed after you expressly consented to immediate access and waived a statutory withdrawal right (where such waiver is allowed)
  • The issue is caused by unsupported environments, third-party website changes, browser updates, or factors outside our reasonable control after we provided the licensed product as described
  • The request relates to a subsequent subscription renewal payment where no new statutory withdrawal right applies

5. Product defects and technical issues

If a paid product has a material defect or persistent technical issue that prevents you from using the features as described:

  • Contact us first at support@extensionchro.me so we can try to fix the issue promptly
  • If we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, we will help you obtain a refund through Paddle in line with applicable consumer protection rules
  • Please include your order/receipt details, the extension or plan name, and a short description of the problem

6. Subscriptions and cancellations

If you have a subscription:

  • You may cancel future renewals at any time through the Paddle customer portal or the manage-subscription / view-receipt links in your Paddle emails
  • Cancellation stops future charges; it does not by itself refund the current billing period unless you are separately eligible for a refund under this policy, Paddle’s policy, or local law
  • After cancellation, access typically continues until the end of the paid period already billed

7. How to request a refund

To request a refund, use any of the following:

  • Email support@extensionchro.me with your order email, receipt/transaction ID, product name, and reason
  • Use the “View receipt”, “Manage subscription”, or support links in your Paddle confirmation email
  • Visit Paddle Buyer support and choose the refund request option: https://paddle.net

We recommend contacting us and/or Paddle before opening a chargeback with your bank, so we can resolve the issue faster.

8. How refunds are paid

  • Approved refunds are processed by Paddle to the original payment method where possible
  • Paddle typically completes eligible refunds within 14 days after approval
  • Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show the credit
  • When a refund is issued, related product access or license entitlements may end

9. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you dispute a charge with your card issuer or payment provider:

  • Product access may be suspended while the dispute is reviewed
  • Paddle may provide the payment provider with transaction records and relevant checkout consents
  • This does not remove your lawful rights to dispute charges under card-scheme or consumer-protection rules

10. Free trials and free extensions

Free trials and free Chrome extensions do not involve a refundable payment. Uninstall an extension at any time from chrome://extensions if you no longer wish to use it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. For a completed purchase, the version in effect at the time of that Transaction generally governs that Transaction, together with Paddle’s applicable Buyer Terms.
